I created Repeat Clean with a mission to do better. I’ve always been an entrepreneur at heart, with one of my first businesses being selling homemade dog treats in the park when I was 10 years old. I was born and raised in Vancouver, and for the last 5 years before Repeat Clean, I helped run a plumbing company. This career path taught me everything I need to know about home service businesses and how to stand out. On the side, I love to create and write music, go fishing, and play golf with friends.
The Beginning
I noticed that booking cleanings for myself in our city was a disaster, and lacked a quality customer experience. Hidden fees and upsells, unreliable cleaners, and companies disappearing when an issue arose inspired me to want to do better.
To start, I talked to cleaning business owners in Vancouver to learn about their biggest problems. I found that inefficient and high-cost operations led to companies lowering wages and consequently struggling to attract good talent. For this reason, our office staff is incredibly lean, and redundant tasks are automated.
This way, our cleaners are paid 1.5-2x the average cleaning wage, while keeping our rates lower than the average cleaning company. We can attract the top talent, our cleaners are happy, and you get a spectacular service at a price that doesn’t give you sticker shock.
